Starting 2020 with a bang
Double R Glass and Roofing Systems has kickstarted 2020 with glass sales up 13% at the end of 2019 compared with the previous year.
Overall company sales across glass and conservatory roofs increased by £half-a-million in the same period, and the company announced that eight new members of staff joined Double R in January.
“The glass sector is in a constant state of flux at the moment, with the supplier landscape seemingly changing by the week,” Ian Sims, managing director of Double R, said. “As a result, an increasing number of fabricators and installers are prioritising security and a stable supply chain when looking for an IGU partner.
“We have always prided ourselves on putting customers first, genuinely, and we have found over the past few years that this approach has become particularly pertinent. It’s not easy. In fact, we probably had more than our fair share of problems last year, but we worked hard to rectify them quickly and keep our customers informed and, as a result, didn’t lose any business through the number of challenges we faced.”
Ian also said the company also invested in machinery to “stay ahead of the increased demand” for sealed units, decorative glass and conservatory roofs.
