Safeguard Glass and Glazing sponsors Peterborough United FC

SafeGuard Glass and Glazing has secured a two-year sponsorship deal and is now an official club partner at Peterborough United FC.

The glazing business, based in Peterborough is known nationally as a manufacturer of insulated glass units for use in windows, doors and rooflights. The company also has an installations division, SGi, offering a range of glazing services to both domestic and commercial clients alongside dealing with main contractors.

Nick Welsh, managing director of SafeGuard Glazing Supplies, said: “We’re a business based in Peterborough and even though we operate on a national scale, it’s important to us to continue to support sport in the local area. We can’t wait to kick-off our association with Peterborough United, the football club is at the very heart of the city and community.”

As part of the signing, SafeGuard will get its branding on the jumbo screen, the pitch side LED screen plus a spot in the printed fixture booklet. To seal the deal, ex-footballer and now commercial executive at Peterborough United, Bobby Copping, visited the company’s HQ with the EFL Trophy.

Nick added: “As a growing business and a local employer of 125 people, we think this is a great way to give back into the local community. And I think that our team are as happy as we are to be Peterborough United official club partners.”
