Queen’s Award received

CMS Window System has been presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2017.

At an event that took place at the company’s Castlecary HQ near Glasgow, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Dunbartonshire, Rear Admiral Michael Gregory OBE, the Queen’s personal representative, presented the award to Gerald McSkimming, operations director of CMS Window Systems.

This was given to CMS Window Systems in recognition of its achievements in terms of sustainable business development, and reflected its success in ensuring that environmental, social and economic sustainable practices underpin every aspect of the business.

Lord-Lieutenant Michael Gregory OBE said: “It’s been a great pleasure to come to CMS to present the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation today, to a company that has been a tremendous innovator not just in sustainability, but very effectively in providing youth employment. What they’ve done here is seriously impressive and, therefore, they thoroughly deserve their Queen’s Award for Enterprise.”

Gerald McSkimming, operations director at CMS Window Systems, said: “Our rapid growth into a £32 million turnover business in just over a decade illustrates what can be achieved with a sharp focus on sustainability in all its forms.”
