The first Pigs in Scotland proved to be a success.

After a suggestion from Colin Torley, at a Glass Times Race Day, that a Pigs event could prove popular in Glasgow, organiser Sarah Ball got to it.

β€œLast year, we took Pigs to Vegas as part of Glass Build America,” Sarah said. β€œIt was really successful, so when Colin suggested Glasgow, we thought, why not?”
Held at Bacchus CafΓ© Bar in Glasgow, almost 40 Pigs attended the first ever Scottish event and enjoyed the usual Pigs party of a free bar and some great networking.

β€œIt was a great turnout,” Sarah said. β€œWe’ve already had some fantastic feedback from people who attended and its success means that we will be running it again next year.”

Thanks goes out to the special Glasgow sponsors: AluWood Windows, CR Smith, Save Heat Glazing Systems Group and Sealco.

These are in addition to the annual Pigs sponsors: Aluk, Avantis International, Build Show, Business Micros, Central RPL, Danvac, Dempsey Dyer, Edgetech UK, Emplas, ERA, ExtrudaSeal, FIT Show, Frame Fast UK, Georgian Bar Company, GGF, Glazpart, Independent Network, Profix, Quickslide, Regalead, Selecta Systems, Stuga Machinery, Synseal, The Veka UK Group, Thermoseal, Titon, Ultraframe, Universal Arches, Whizzle, Windowware, and Yale.

The next Pigs is at the Pitcher and Piano on Brindley Place, Birmingham on October 19.

β€œBirmingham is always our best-attended event, so it’s not one to be missed,” Sarah said. β€œWe’re always on the look-out for new sponsors, so if you would like to get involved for just Β£100, give me a call or email me at [email protected].
