New management team
Vertik-Al has unveiled a new management team and financial investment, which follows the acquisition of the powder coating company by an investment group in March 2017.
The new management team is named as group managing director Angus Mackie, and operations director Richard Gibbs.
Angus has a background in manufacturing, having managed and owned several building product companies, while Richard joined Vertik-Al in 1992 and is responsible for the planning, production and logistics of the Vertik-Al operation.
“Investment from the group, shareholders and the management team, together with vast funding capability gives us a robust platform for growth in what is an exciting and vibrant sector,” Angus said. “We will continue to build on the competitive advantage of our powder coating heritage and deep systems knowledge, allowing us to provide our customers with more complete solutions.”
Vertik-Al started applying powder to aluminium in the 1960s, and the business operates from Birmingham, employing 180 people from the local area.
