More than a third of the installations for Georgian Bar Company go into new build developments, the company has announced.

Philip Dewhurst Jr, director of Georgian Bar Company, said: “Georgian style has never gone out of fashion. Perhaps it’s not surprising, because in the history of architectural influencers, the Georgians created the most elegant looking properties. The only problem is that there aren’t enough to go around.

“Which is why so many new build properties include Georgian architectural cues. People buying new homes want all the modern comforts, but they also want a more traditional look. One of the easiest ways for developers and architects to add interest is through the window design. Georgian styling for windows can help with getting developments approved.

“Planning departments sometimes look more favourably on more traditional designs, especially where they are in or near to conservation areas.”
