Major expansion
Haffner Murat has commissioned a major expansion programme which will see its Staffordshire headquarters double in size.
Fully operational by June 2019, the new facility will provide a quicker flow through for the company’s machines along with new areas for machinery testing, painting and quality control.
The new factory will provide additional space for machine assembly and testing while providing a quicker turnaround and improved efficiencies. It will also house new office and customer meeting facilities.
Dave Thomas, managing director of Haffner Murat, said: “The new extension allows our business to continue to grow naturally and efficiently. As one of the few companies to offer a part-exchange service we have needed the additional space to turnaround these machines for future customers.
“Blocks of four or five machines will be taken to the new testing area to carry out the necessary checks. Each machine will be stripped down, cleaned and painted before sending to despatch. It will also provide valuable space for all new machinery checks too.”
The new expansion will also increase headcount as additional key positions will be appointed both internally and externally during the early part of 2019.
