Exceptional awards
More than 500 industry leaders and guests celebrated as the winners of the G21 Awards were recognised on Friday November 26.
The atmosphere was electric at the London Hilton on Park Lane as everyone celebrated not only the achievements of the trophy winners but also a welcome return of one of the cornerstones of the industry social calendar after the gloom and uncertainty of the past two years’ restrictions.
It proved to be an exceptional event in other ways: the most-ever trophies were awarded – 14 in total – thanks to two separate pairs of joint winners; the first-ever candidate took home the same award for a fourth time; and comedian Ellie Taylor was the event’s first woman celebrity host.
“It was the best year yet in so many ways,” organiser Tony Higgin said. “Especially as everyone generated such a buzz in coming back to such a much-loved event after all the challenges we faced since we were here last.”
The winners in each category were:
Best Sustainability Initiative – Veka UK
Best Promotional Campaign – DoorCo with Flip and Gripcore
Best Training and Development Initiative – Arran Isle
Best Commercial Project – The Residence Collection for Sewell Park Academy
