More than 500 FIT Show visitors are said to have enjoyed the People In Glazing Society (PiGs) party at the NEC.

The Balls2 Marketing team served up more than 1,600 drinks for the event, which featured house band, Ellie Jones and the Giants, sponsored by Emplas.

“This was the best FIT Show ever for PiGs,” said Sarah Ball, organiser for PiGs and joint MD at marketing agency, Balls2 Marketing. “We wanted the PiGs Pavilion to offer something for everyone, and we organised other events and activities alongside the main afterparty. The Hair of the Hog sponsored by Ultion was super popular with early birds on Thursday morning. In total we ran seven events from the stand.

“The ‘Best Goody Bags in the World’ were a big draw to the stand,” she continued. “We gave out 500 bags over the three days – with 17 gifts plus the Glass Times Passport inside, so that’s a whopping 8,500 freebies we handed to lucky visitors. The bags also included a Lifesaver guide from suicide prevention charity Kelly’s Heroes.

“By the time we packed up on Thursday afternoon, every bag, drink, snack and sweet was gone!

“As ever, massive thanks go out to all our sponsors for their support. Events like these simply could happen without them, and this event attracted more sponsor than ever before.”

There are two more PiGs networking events for 2023 – 15 June in Bristol and 28 September in Birmingham.
