Award for excellence

Rehau has received an award recognising its excellence within the industry and its energy efficient building products.

The latest accolade comes as part of the Sustainable Building 2018 Awards, by Build magazine, and sees Rehau presented with the Best Polymer-based Building Products Manufacturer award for 2018, and for Excellence in Energy Efficient Building Products.

The company has taken steps to ensure it achieves sustainability targets and creates a circular economy, as well as offering energy efficient products. It has also made the ongoing commitment to contributing to the sustainable building industry. Key to this is the Rehau PVCR factory in Manchester, which recycles used PVCU for it to be used in the Total70 co-extruded profile for windows and doors. This product uses up to 100% post-consumer waste within its core.

Martin Hitchin, chief executive at Rehau, said: “Working towards a sustainable future is something that has always been important to Rehau, and it is only getting higher on the agenda of the construction industry. We intend to be at the forefront of developments in this arena and remain committed to reaching our goals set in our fit for the future strategy. This award is great testament to our ongoing hard work and it’s fantastic to continue to get this recognition.”
