Fensa and Risa sponsored the Small Renovation category in the Federation of Master Builderβs Master Builder Awards in a bid to extend the reach of GGF Commercial Group member companies.
Presentations were made in 14 categories at a ceremony that took place in front of more than 600 people.
The winning project in the category for βResidential/domestic restorations, refurbishments or extensions valued at up to Β£50,000β, was for Orchestrate Design and Buildβs renovation work on an apartment in a listed mansion block opposite the Natural History Museum.
In carrying out what judges described as βone of the most desirable interiors one could ever wish for in a stylish flatβ Orchestrate had to contend with a number of severe restrictions.
The only access to the site was through a main entrance accessed by all of the buildingβs residents, which meant Orchestrate faced limited access and shorter working hours to complete the renovation. The team also had to protect, clean and maintain the communal areas daily and, to avoid costly parking expenses, the team also travelled entirely by public transport and bicycles for the duration of the project.
βFensa is delighted to be associated with sponsoring this award, which has produced such an exceptional winner,β Chris Beedel, Fensaβs director of membership, said.
Brian Berry, CEO of the Federation of Master Builders thanked Fensa and Risa for supporting the awards.
βBoth [organisations] are industry leaders who are driving standards higher year on year, and with a will to see excellence as standard.β
