As a leader in the conservatory and roofing market, SupaLite says it has consistently delivered high-quality, innovative solutions for its trade partners. The company continues to innovate, offering products that are designed to meet the evolving needs of customers and homeowners.
SupaLite has introduced three new products that are designed to bring expanded versatility, ease of installation, and long-lasting performance to its customer’s projects.
SkyEdge: a rooflight like no other
SkyEdge rooflights are available for domestic or commercial applications. Said to be easy to install, the SkyEdge rooflight gives homes an extra dose of natural light when installed in flat or low pitch roofing systems.
The framed skylights come in a range of different stock sizes to suit any project as well as bespoke sizes up to 3.25m² and with options for high performance toughened double or triple glazing.
All SkyEdge glazing options are argon gas filled as standard to ensure excellent thermal insulation. The aluminium, thermally broken frame of the rooflight is designed to ensure that condensation on the glass is reduced, and energy efficiency is optimised.
The modern, sleek powder coated aluminium outer frame comes in a dark grey colour (RAL7016) as standard, with bespoke colour options available.
The framed roof double glazed windows are also BS6375-1 weather tested, which means they are assessed against air permeability, water tightness and resistance to wind load.
According to SupaLite, the eco-friendly glass ensures unrivalled thermal performance with U values as low as 0.5
SkyEdge uses panes of 6mm toughened safety glass for each pane, ensuring high strength and durability, reportedly making it one of the strongest rooflights available on the market.
SkyVista Glow: A radiant heating solution
SkyVista Glow is a specialist glazing unit with a conductive coating which generates heat when an electrical current passes through it. This pioneering product can be used as a heating source for heating conservatories or extensions. It is only available in SkyVista panels which feature within the SupaLite tiled roofs.
The Glow technology has been designed specifically to emit radiant heat rather than convection heat, as used in traditional radiators. Radiant heating solutions are said to have many benefits, as it heats people and objects unlike convection that heats space. This allows homeowners to control the temperature whilst making the most of natural light, using a combination of solid roof and glass panels.
SkyVista Glow is available in four standard sizes and homeowners can choose from single or double SkyVista.
SupaLite’s SkyVista Glow solution is ‘invisible’ – unlike traditional radiators or plug in fires – and the heated glass has a lower carbon footprint than traditional heating systems.
SupaLite adds that it is also cost-effective and requires no ongoing maintenance, unlike some heating systems that require regular service intervals.
ExtraLight Classic: revolutionary lightweight tile
The ExtraLight Classic from SupaLite is a revolutionary, lightweight, interlocking roof tile system designed to make your installation easier.
It is a flat, precision manufactured, recycled polymer, lightweight roof tile and is said to have excellent green credentials. Produced in a modern black coloured tile with a slight textured finish, it is aesthetically pleasing and, according to SupaLite, is extremely simple to fix yet performs exceptionally – the ExtraLight Classic locks into adjacent tiles to form a fully integrated roof covering.
This lightweight tile has been designed to complement the SupaLite tiled roof and offers homeowners and installers another tile finish option.
With a minimum low pitch of 12.5°, this superior tile reportedly maintains integrity far better than current market leaders producing concrete or slate tile products and weighs less than 8kg per m².
Designed with installers in mind, SupaLite says that it’s 80% lighter than conventional roof tiles and slates, making it easier to handle and at least 25% quicker to install due to interlocking technology.
The innovative Tile Start Cleat design eliminates the need for a double eave course. It’s also said to be easy to cut and comes with all necessary accessories.
The Classic tile has been designed to enhances the look of any roof, and with coverage of fewer than 14 tiles per square meter, installation is significantly quicker compared to other roof tiling systems.
Combined with easy fit ridges, hips, barges and end caps, this saves installers valuable time and cost on site.
Manufactured to ISO 9001 standards and meeting BS 5534:2014 and BS 15087:2005, this product exceeds UK and European standards with over five times the performance of conventional tiles or slates in EN 15601 tests. It has also passed External Fire Exposure Roof Tests to BS 476-3 (EXT.S.AA) and DD CEN/TS 1187 test 4 (B Roof t4), and is BBA certified.
