Embrace the autumn with DoorCo’s stable doors

Ellie Lee, marketing manager of DoorCo, discusses the upcoming trends for the purpose-built Stable Door collection.
A change in season is always welcome inspiration for the DoorCo marketing team as it brings with it new colour palettes for us to explore in our marketing material which helps our customers to find new ways to promote their ranges too.
As we cross over into autumn with the turn of the leaves and the drop in temperature, we’re greeted with those much-loved seasonal shades including oranges, purples and other earthy tones, all of which have got us looking at our popular stable doors in a new light.
Previously promoted in captivating pastel shades as part of our spring/summer launch campaign, we’re now exploring how our innovative foam-filled stable doors can look in the colder months.
Driven by innovation
Our stable doors were born from customer demand, and we wanted to provide a product that exceeded market standards. They are purpose-built and come complete with Winkhaus stable door locking kits and Stormguard weather bars. These high-quality components are painted to match the colour of the door, rather than provided in the standard brass or stainless-steel options, simplifying the process for fabricators and delivering an attractive finish for homeowners.
The Original slab has been reengineered with an internal PVC rail which is carved through during prepping to create the split design. This not only makes prepping a quicker and easier process but also ensures the stability of the finished door.
Country-inspired design
The foundation of the Stable Door collection is the farmhouse slab, which lends itself perfectly to the classic country feel that stable doors are known and loved for. From here, we’ve got six designs in both ranges: Farmhouse Solid, Belfry, Sunningdale, Merion, Merion Grid and Pevero.
While the stable doors are normally associated with the country, the unique ‘offset etched’ detailing on our cottage-style doors work perfectly in any home as they can be made traditional and modern, depending on the finishes chosen.
In a collection of new marketing images now available for our customer network, we’ve transformed our best-selling stable door styles into autumn masterpieces with our range of Paint shades and stains to suit the season.
A rich array of shades including muted reds like marsala, deep purples such as mulberry and earthy greens like olive grove, our autumn palette also includes more vibrant choices like Florida and azure that capture the essence of the season whilst allowing for that popular pop of colour loved by many.
We’re also having fun with black for this season.
When it comes to design, it’s the glazing choices that really define a door. From the finish on the Flip glazing cassette to the glass inside.
Some of our leaded decorative styles, like lavish and jazz bring through the autumnal shades whilst our etched designs like empire or simple obscure choices like rain bring a whole new dimension.
