Composite door manufacturer Vista Panels is this year celebrating 10 years of its leading brand, XtremeDoor. We take a look at why it continues to be such a success story.

When the brand was launched in 2013, XtremeDoor is said to have taken the market by storm as a composite door that ticked all the boxes for homeowners, and offered installers a way to really stand out from their competitors.

And as the name suggested, XtremeDoor was designed to take everything ‘to the extreme’, and according to Vista, was a fresh change from other mainstream composite doors on the market.

It boasted a 3-star, high-security package including a five-point locking system and an anti-snap, bump, pick and drill cylinder designed to withstand the main attack methods during a burglary.

It was also designed to provide first class weather performance thanks to a triple-sealed, PVC-U outer frame and GRP weatherproof skin, and exceptional thermal performance thanks to a high-density foam-filled composite door slab.

Since then, Vista has continued to evolve and significantly improve its XtremeDoor offer. The GRP skin is now 100% thicker, having increased from 2mm to 4mm, while its five-hook lock has been upgraded to pull tighter to the frame and offer an even better weather seal, improving its weather performance by 50%.

The range has also since been expanded to include several new styles, 23 colours and a range of contemporary and traditional hardware options, while machinery investments and two major factory expansions at Vista have seen increased production of the leading brand.

2023 has seen the company introduce an updated product brochure and a new consumer website that is designed to greatly improve the homeowner experience in finding the door that best suits their individual needs.

Vista is also pleased to announce its partnership with Midlands-based lock manufacturer Ingenious locks, which has led to the company being able to increase its money back guarantee from £1,000 to £3,000 on all its locks, cylinders and hardware.

Keith Sadler, Vista’s managing director for the last 27 years, commented: “In 2013, we saw a gap in the market for a high spec door that offered the very best in performance, thermal efficiency, and security, and XtremeDoor certainly ticked all the boxes.

“We’re so proud of how far the brand has come over the past 10 years, and to see that it’s still at the forefront of today’s composite door market. We’re just as excited about XtremeDoor as we were when it was launched, and it’s fantastic to see it continue to soar a decade on.”
