Hardware firm, Maco, is the latest big name to sign up for the Glass Conference, the new industry event thatβs scheduled for 16-17 October, at Telford International Centre.
The two-day Glass Conference, which is backed by the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) and The FIT Show, will aim to bring all sectors of the industry together, from systems houses to installers, and will focus on key challenges and opportunities facing the market, as well as helping to ensure delegates are on top of the latest legislative and regulatory requirements.
It will also include learning and networking opportunities, product demonstrations and a charity gala dinner.
Macoβs support follows the recent announcement that Emplas has also stepped up as a major sponsor of the Glass Conference, with sales director, Jody Vincent, saying that the event will βsupport installers in gaining an understanding of key areas of innovation and product developmentβ.
In other news, Business Micros Group, which is a headline sponsor of the G24s, is urging companies and industry individuals to start planning their entries for the awards, which are scheduled for 29 November.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the G Awards and with a new category for Machinery Innovation of the year, promises to be the biggest and best attended event yetβ¦
And finally, both Deceuninck UKΒ and QuickslideΒ are celebrating the success of recent customer days.
A highlight of Deceuninckβs customer day was the preview of new research, conducted exclusively for the system company by YouGov, that detailed shifts in consumer behaviour including details on differing priorities for spend from homeowners, depending on their demographic.
This shed light on the downturn in homeowner spending in the latter half of 2023, but also suggested βa release of latent demandβ later in β24.
More details on the YouGov report will be released in the summer.
Quickslideβs customer days have taken place during a two-month tour of the UK, and were designed to engage with installers, including introducing them to the fabricatorβs latest product line-up.
According to chairman, Adrian Barraclough, βWith our focus always firmly on people, we wanted to offer that support face to face and give our installer customers a rare opportunity to get together with their peers.β
