It was fantastic to catch up with so many people at the Glass Times Race Day at Epsom Downs last week.

Epsom marked the second Race Day of 2022 for Glass Times magazine, following the outing to Haydock in June, and with well over 300 people in attendance at the southern meeting, both events are now firmly established as highlights of the industry calendar.

While it was a great success, there was also a feeling of uneasiness throughout the day as news of the Queen’s health began to circulate.

With reports of Royal Family members rushing to Balmoral, it would be safe to say that most people were expecting the worst but when the news was finally, officially announced it was still very hard to process.

I was grateful to be among friends and colleagues and to be able to raise a glass to her Majesty the Queen.
