FIT Show in full swing

Preparations for this year’s FIT Show, which is scheduled for 23-25 May at the NEC, are now well underway. Over the last week or so my inbox has been pinging with press release from companies who are keen to announce what they will be showcasing at the 10-year anniversary special.

The first batch are in this week’s newsletter – stand by for more in the build-up to the big event – and they include seasoned FIT Show attendees such as UAP, ODL, and Emmegi. Haffner, which has exhibited at every FIT Show so far, will also be using every inch of its enormous 586.5 square metre stand to display a comprehensive portfolio of window machinery.

A significant proportion of exhibitors will also be new to the show, and that includes Garnalex which will be presenting its Sheerline brand of aluminium windows and doors.

A key element to Sheerline’s success so far, in addition to its aesthetic appeal and installer friendly features, has been the fact that the range is Part L compliant as standard.

As we all know, energy efficiency is a big selling point at the moment, but Sheerline is not the only aluminium system’s company to be offering its customers a Part L compliant product.

The team at Deceuninck Aluminium has also been working very hard on its own product line-up and has just officially launched the Decalu88 flush casement.

You may have spotted the ‘Iteration 49’ teaser campaign in recent weeks – referring to the 49 different versions that were developed prior to launch – but it’s the headline U values for the finished item that are the real eye-opener.

At 0.8 with triple – and 1.2 with standard double glazing – the design team at Deceuninck Aluminium has essentially future proofed the Decalu88 flush casement against the forthcoming Future Homes Standard.
