The team which acquired Window Widgets in 2019 have announced the formation of the Q19 Group and the acquisition of Profoil Limited, the deal completed on the 13 May 2022.

A specialist of foil lamination for over 25 years, Profoil, based in Kettering, provides foiling services to the fenestration and building materials markets in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The Q19 Group includes Window Widgets, Residence Collection and now Profoil, with manufacturing facilities in Gloucester and Kettering.

Window Widgets began in 2000 and became the largest range of universal ancillaries for the fenestration market. In 2012, Window Widgets launched what was to become a defining window system in the form of Residence 9 and today it forms part of The Residence Collection of PVC-U window and door systems.

The Q19 Group says it will implement an investment programme to support further growth across all its businesses, with ‘bold ambitions’ for the future direction of the group.

The deal was put together by the Q19 director team with advice from Cattaneo Corporate Finance and Legal Clarity, with financial support from Shawbrook Bank. The management of Profoil Limited were advised by Kingswood Business Sales, a division of Richmond Capital Partners.
