While white was still a popular choice black and blue were keen favourites that The Residence Collection predicts will grow in popularity.
Generational trends also reveal distinct tastes: over 30% of ‘Boomers’ reportedly favour grey doors for their versatility and inviting appeal, while 29% of Millennials lean towards the classic simplicity and clean look of traditional white doors.
Jo Trotman, marketing manager of The Residence Collection, said: “It’s always interesting to see what consumers are interested in when surveying what they currently have in their home and what they would choose given the option.
“The survey confirms sleek, sophisticated and clean colours will always be important to consumers when choosing a new front door, but white may not be the first choice as a desire for black and blue doors increases.
“The Residence Collection has a variety of windows and doors in exclusive colour combinations, and we hope this new data gives installers insight into what growing colour trends we could see in 2025.”
