Nathan Ing became director of Buckinghamshire installation business, Radley Aylesbury, just two years ago but is said to have already had a big impact in the marketing direction of the business.
This has culminated in the construction of a brand-new showroom that opened in September 2022, featuring its very own βRadley Roadβ complete with a solid timber core Elmhurst Comp Door.
Nathanβs role has been primarily to bring people through the door but his innovative approach to connecting with Radleyβs customer-base is reported to have beaten month on month targets from the previous year, which was Radleyβs biggest year to date.
Thereβs no hard sell. Instead, Radley has become part of the local community with events like a recent indoor trick or treat experience at Halloween, which saw 100 children, and their parents, walk through the Radley showroom to knock on the doors of Radley Road and get candy from Radley staff whoβd dressed up for the occasion.
Radley is so committed to its approach that it introduced a dedicated Radley events team to the business. Other initiatives theyβve organised include being an official drop off point for the Bucks Radio toy appeal, helping to make Christmas better for children who are facing a tough festive period, as well as loaning out the Radley stage trailer free of charge to local βChristmas lights switch onβ events.
Nathan explained: βOur approach not only benefits the local community, but also all the manufacturers involved in our showroom. Our great sales year is not just down to our marketing but also the products we offer and the customer service that backs them up. Our customers love Comp Door,β he continued.
βThe team there have made it so easy with the support they offer. The display boards and Sussex and Aston showroom doors theyβve provided for example, attract a lot of attention from visitors. That kind of support gives our team confidence in selling the product.
βThereβs mutual belief between ourselves and Comp Door. They believe in what we are trying to achieve at the showroom and have supplied the tools we need to represent their product and give our customers all the information and choice theyβre looking for.
βAnd we believe in their product and company ethos,β he added. βI like working with companies I like and with Comp Door I like the overall package. Comp Door was a welcome addition to our portfolio, offering just what we needed to our selection of products. It complements the other doors we offer, which are all manufactured in different ways.β
