Midland Aluminiumβs sales administrator, Jon Sammons, has celebrated five years with the business.
Having originally started his career as a bricklayer, Jon later joined the wider Affordable Windows Group, loading wagons at a depot, before joining Midland Aluminium in a sales administration role in April 2021.
Over the past five years, Jon’s role is said to have developed considerably within Midland Aluminium, a trade supplier of PVC-U and aluminium systems.
“The team have trusted me to get involved in all sorts of different areas β marketing, accounts, all sorts,” said Jon. “I never thought I’d be doing half of what I do now. But the variety is what keeps it interesting. I’ve also built real relationships with our customers over the last five years. They’re not just dealing with Midland Aluminium, they’re dealing with someone they know and trust β and that loyalty means a great deal.”
“Jon has become a genuinely valued member of the team,” commented director, Jason Wootton. “From the moment he joined, he showed a real willingness to learn and get stuck in. His dedication to his customers and his readiness to take on new responsibilities has made a real difference to the business. We’re delighted to be celebrating this milestone with him.”
Jon’s tenure also reflects a wider culture of staff retention within Midland Aluminium, where many employees have been with the business for eight years or more.
“We’ve got real ambitions for where Midland Aluminium is heading,” said Jon. “The plan is to grow the sales team and keep building on the reputation we’ve worked hard to establish. I’m proud to have played a part in the journey so far, and I’m looking forward to being part of what comes next.”
