The Window Company (Contracts) has achieved another significant milestone in customer service, having been awarded the Customer Service Excellence (CSE) standard for the first time.

This is a rigorous, nationally recognised accreditation awarded on the basis of a detailed submission against 56 compliance requirements and an in-person, day long assessment.

The commercial window and door installer, which in 2025 also won the glazing industry’s G-Award for Customer Care, achieved full compliance on 50 of the requirements, compliance plus on four of them and partial compliance on just two.

Katie Thornton, the company’s director of compliance and administration said:

“This standard covers everything from our customer insight and our culture and attitudes to the level of information we provide to customers and how we deliver and monitor the quality of our service.

“These are some of the areas where we think we really excel, so to have such a valuable independent endorsement of our performance means a lot to everyone here. The assessor interviewed various members of our team about our policies and procedures but also spoke to clients and customers and how we perform – and it was their feedback about some of the areas where we go over and above in supporting them which he felt was particularly powerful.

“We routinely achieve customer satisfaction levels of 99% from residents whose homes we work in, which is largely down to our highly efficient processes, rigorous attention to detail and comprehensive training programmes for every member of staff. But beyond that, we also proactively support our social housing clients’ social value programmes and have a policy of asking for – and responding to – feedback on our service so that we can continually improve.”

Looking ahead, The Window Company (Contracts) will now have an annual audit of its CSE accreditation and continue to benchmark its outstanding service against the other high profile businesses and public organisations which are already part of the scheme – from schools, councils and universities to housing associations and construction product suppliers.
