Yorkshire-based glass manufacturer Specialist Glass Products is said to be positioning itself for long-term growth following significant investment across its operations.

In the last 12 months, the company has heavily invested in its factory, machinery, and, most recently, a new digital platform. This strategic investment is designed to strengthen Specialist Glass Products’ capabilities to meet the increasing demand from architects and specifiers for complex, large-scale, and sustainable glazing solutions.

The new website provides a platform to communicate Specialist Glass Products’ expertise and its capability to deliver complex projects.

Andrew Taylor, managing director at Specialist Glass Products, commented: “Our business has evolved significantly since our previous website launch, and we felt it was time for our online presence to accurately represent the high-profile projects we are now undertaking on a regular basis.”

Some standout projects in 2025 include the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh, which featured 6,000 curved and flat laminated glass panels, as well as supplying toughened glass for an internationally recognised landmark, the Top of the Rock in New York. SGP also provided bespoke double glazing as part of the Flockton water tower transformation.

Customers to the site can take a virtual tour to see the factory, products, and the team behind Specialist Glass Products. This offers visitors a clear understanding of the firm’s capabilities to deliver what they require.

This website launch follows a £1.2 million investment in the UK’s largest glass processing machine, a capability that is said to be matched by very few competitors in the UK market.

This advanced machinery enables Specialist Glass Products to manufacture glass up to 3,210mm x 6,000mm and process glass up to 6m x 3.2m, including polishing, drilling, washing, and jetting.

For the year ending March 2025, the company reported a turnover of £10.5million, supported by a workforce of 100 employees.

Andrew continues: “2026 is predicted to be another great year for us, and we’re excited to be working on some significant projects that are yet to be announced.”
