Actor and comedian Hugh Dennis hosted the G22 Awards on Friday last week, in front of hundreds of industry representatives at the Intercontinental Hotel on Park Lane, London.

It was a record night for the annual G Awards, with two new awards for 2022 resulting in more entries – and more winners – than ever before.

The addition of the new categories – for Rising Star and Machinery Supplier – resulted in a total of 14 trophies for the industry’s leading organisations and individuals.

The G22s follow another extremely challenging period for the industry, where the war in Ukraine, political unrest, economic turmoil and energy prices have combined with a downturn in demand post Covid.

The G Awards’ Tony Higgin commented: “Once again, we have seen how the real leaders have come to the fore when they were put to the test.

“The winners this year were the ones who excelled themselves in the face of all the challenges that 2022 has sent.”

This year’s G Awards also included a collection for industry charity, GM Fundraising and Hope House, which raised a total of £2,971.
