Turning up the heat
Nordic Aluminium has added Synseal’s WarmCore aluminium folding sliding door system to its portfolio.
Nordic Aluminium moved into its own 5,000ft2 premises in 2015, and fabricates windows, bifolds, entrance doors and shopfronts using the leading Smart and Sapa systems. The addition of WarmCore will allow it to manufacture dual colour aluminium bifolds on a faster turnaround time than standard systems, with thermal efficiencies closer to those offered by PVC.
Graham Howatson, operations director at Nordic Aluminium, said: “With U-values as low as 1.0 with triple glazing and 1.4 with double, it rivals many PVC systems but with the aesthetics of aluminium, which is becoming increasingly popular.”
Andy Jones, group sales and marketing director at Synseal, said: “With traditional aluminium products there’s often a trade-off to make between thermal efficiency and aesthetics, but with WarmCore, you get both.”
