Heritage without compromise

Eurocell Hardware has created a range of heritage window handles that also incorporate the features expected in a standard modern window handle.

“Many owners of period buildings have often ignored the benefits of PVCU (security, low maintenance and thermal performance) in favour of products that better suit the style of the building, but now customers are able to select the perfect window to match a building from any period and there is a definite requirement for heritage styling,” the company said.

This new range is available in two styles – monkey tail and peardrop – in both left and right hand, with a palette of finishes capable of enhancing the heritage style, with pewter and graphite expected to be particularly popular.

The handles come with a 10-year mechanical guarantee due to the rigorous testing, which involved being operated 50,000 times.

The new products also incorporate a push button key locking. Some early products developed for flush casements did not have key locking which left the window vulnerable to attack from the outside, the company said.

“By undertaking a thorough process of design and testing we can offer heritage style without compromise, that perfectly complements the Logik and Modus flush sashes available from Eurocell,” the company said.

Eurocell Hardware has also released a hardware catalogue aimed specifically at fabricators.

National sales manager Mark Frain said: “When I joined the business a year ago, I was immediately impressed with the investment by Eurocell in new product development on hardware and the pipeline of new products arriving. Obviously, the pandemic has created unforeseen levels of disruption throughout the market and supply chains, but we have now found ourselves in a position where we have been successfully trading with a group of Eurocell fabricators since late 2020, testing our supply model and ability to service the fast pace of fabricator demands.

“We have come through this with flying colours and are taking on new customers weekly. Therefore, we felt that now was the time to launch the new Eurocell Hardware fabricator catalogue.”

The catalogue is available to download through the Eurocell fabricator portal and the Eurocell website and print copies will be sent out shortly.
