Upgrades underway to Connect

The Consultancy is working on further developments to Epwin’s Connect online customer portal.

At launch, Epwin Connect gave Epwin’s customers access to marketing, technical and commercial support tools and provided them with retail and commercial leads.

There are also links to external providers for training, finance and insurance backed guarantees, rolling discounts deals on things like workwear and an option to include the new Business Micros Touch lead generation and quoting software tool – almost 300 fabricators and 200 installers have signed up to the portal to date.

The next stages of Connect will include automatic allocation of retail leads to local installers who are registered on the portal and new filters to show if customers have a showroom or not. There will also be a new drawing library which will allow users to access technical drawings and CAD files and a section on commercial project news which will provide useful market report updates.

Gerald Allen, head of marketing at Epwin, said: “It would be easy to be complacent about the stand-out success of Epwin Connect and the outstanding feedback we’ve already had, but we are constantly looking to improve. We’re listening to customers all the time and looking at how they use Epwin Connect and then working with the team at The Consultancy to translate that into new tools and an even better customer experience.”

Richie Thornton, director at The Consultancy, added: “We’re really proud of the work we did in mapping and developing Epwin Connect, which, at the time, was our most ambitious individual web development project ever.

“It’s fantastic to see just how valuable it has already become to customers, with nearly 8,000 items downloaded since launch, but ultimately it will never be complete. Like all the very best digital platforms and customer portals, it will be a work in progress for many years to come.”
