The BFRC is now expanding its service offering, with new testing and certification services that will each be underpinned by ‘The BFRC Difference’.
BFRC managing director, Richard Sellman, explained: “We’re committed to exceeding the high standards our members and clients have come to expect. We want to move away from that typical customer / supplier relationship, and grow our reputation as a collaborative partner, on hand when needed to make testing and certification easier.
“Our newly launched CWCT service is a prime example,” he continued. “A client had concerns about an installation on a busy site. The best time to test the product was before the site opened, so our team arrived outside of normal working hours, so we could be out of the way prior to the day’s schedule kicking in. Of course, the client was delighted as we’d gone beyond their expectations.
“We’re prepared to go the extra mile. We want to be helpful and accommodate our customers’ needs as much as possible, while at the same time delivering a professional and reliable service. Furthermore, everything we do is backed up by comprehensive reporting, delivered in a timely manner.
“The BFRC team are highly experienced, and we are going to use that wisdom to drive standards forward.
“In our lab we can also offer R&D services to support product development and analytical services to provide greater depth of understanding of product performance,” said Richard. “In a tough market and amidst changing legislation, there is a growing expectation to deliver the designed performance in the installed product, and we want to work with the industry to ensure confidence that products will continue to perform throughout their product lifecycle.
“Our goal is to support clients in their drive to have confidence in their product performance. We’re seeing a cultural shift across the construction industry as a whole towards ‘doing the right thing’, which we’re supporting with The BFRC Difference.”
