Taking security seriously
Recent feedback from Endurance’s Preferred Installer Network has led it to replace its previous Secured By Design upgraded locking cylinder with the Federal UCF from Brisant.
The 3-Star diamond design is registered as a Secured by Design product, having undergone a series of tests to assess its crime prevention properties. With this new addition, Endurance installers will be able to offer their customers a standard of door that holds steadfast against modern burglary methods.
A hidden firing pin from within the core of the Federal UCF secures the central cam when under attack. The Federal UCF also features a sacrificial cut to combat the threat of lock snapping as well as being anti-pick, drill and bump.
Stephen Nadin, managing director of Rocal, said: “The satisfaction of our installers always plays an important part in our product approach, as they are the ones handling our products in the field. Their feedback has resulted in us changing the locking cylinders we were using, which, I feel, shows how seriously we take the mutual relationship we have with our network.”
