High praise for Solar Calibre Doors

The Window Company (Contracts) has praised Solar Calibre Doors for the quality of its products and service.

David Thornton, chair of Window Company (Contracts), said: “We started using Solar Calibre Doors as one of our main suppliers for replacement composite doors last year.

“We now install large volumes of their doors on social housing contracts for the likes of Moat Housing and Basildon Council and continue to be impressed with the quality and service we receive.

“We routinely compare snagging rates on composite doors from all our suppliers, and Solar Calibre Doors are consistently the very lowest, at just 0.03% over the past 10 months. That’s a massive 72% less than another main supplier and more than justifies our decision to bring them on board in 2022,” continued David.

“On the rare occasions that we have had a problem, the production team at Solar Calibre Doors has investigated thoroughly and provided us with a clear and fair resolution.

“Almost as important as the quality though is the obvious understanding at Solar Calibre Doors of the constraints we operate under as a contractor in the social housing sector,” said David. “We work to long term contracts at pre-negotiated rates, and we need our suppliers to do the same, or we risk losing what are already very slim margins.

“We have been able agree a fixed pricing structure with Solar Calibre Doors for the next 12 months, which means we won’t be faced with price rises halfway through a contract.”
