Comar 10 system offers 0.66Wm2K

The Comar 10 window system from Comar Aluminium Systems has gained Passivhaus window certification for its tilt and turn and open-out, top-hung casement window, with U-Values as low as 0.66Wm2K.

Specifically designed to suit the needs of the UK market, Comar 10 sets new standards for aluminium windows with a number of key features, including 90mm deep outer frames to provide the best in thermal performance.

The corner construction of the Comar 10 window also features a unique ‘slot and click’ corner cleat which provides better window joint alignment and smoother window edges.

A sophisticated and unique internal thermal break is incorporated throughout the entire aluminium section. The thermal break has polyamide thermal strips which further improve window frame performance.

The system also benefits from window gasket ports that are integrated into the frame, which help to create slimmer gasket lines and better thermal insulation.

Window corners benefit from hermetic sealing and full surface adhesion giving an excellent overall finish both internally and externally.

Brian McDonald, sales and marketing director ,commented: “Achieving an industry first with our Comar 10 range, in respect of the Passivhaus industry standards, demonstrates Comar’s commitment to offer customers consistently high quality products.

“With processes that cut manufacturing costs by up to 70%, fabricators find Comar 10 windows remarkably simple to make as a time saving option for their business.”
