The Amazon Growing Business Awards has opened registrations, calling on the UK’s best and brightest entrepreneurial talent to submit entries and get the recognition they deserve.

Created by Real Business and backed by the CBI, the Amazon Growing Business Awards is now in its 19th year.

Organisations have until September 15 to submit their entries, with the ceremony taking place on November 29 at The Brewery in London.

Doug Gurr, UK country manager at Amazon, said: “Throughout the year we’ve seen SMEs grow their revenue, create more jobs, and take up the challenge to innovate, boost productivity, and export more. So it will be great to see some of the individual success stories that make up Britain’s vibrant business community.”

Previous award-winners have grown to become some of the UK’s most recognisable and successful brands, including Go Ape, Innocent Drinks, Betfair and Fever-Tree. Signifying the importance of these awards and the value of the SME sector to the UK economy as a whole, previous VIP guests to have graced the ceremony include Bill Gates, Gordon Brown and Stelios Haji-Ioannou.

At last year’s awards, Bristol-based takeaway and delivery brand Hotcha won the award for Growing Business of the Year. Since winning, Hotcha has gone onto further success by opening new stores in Bournemouth, Exeter and Newbury and moved to new a head office and central production facility in Bristol, providing the business with space to support its fast- paced growth.
