AT Precision doubles turnover
Aluminium bi-fold hardware supplier, AT Precision, says it has doubled its turnover in the past 12 months, thanks to careful investments, expanded product ranges, and a continued dedication to excellent customer service, despite a ‘very challenging’ period for the industry.
Sales director, Michael Hewitt, commented: “In the summer of 2021, we’d seen a 342% sales increase since we opened our doors in February 2020, but in the past six months, we’ve gone above and beyond to double our turnover, and I’m extremely proud of how far the business has come, despite the many difficulties across the board.”
Michael attributes the success to careful investments, which includes a factory expansion to 18,000ft2, as well as the introduction of two new extrusion lines.
This has enabled the Durham-based company to increase both production and capacity, meaning it has the ability to store at least three months’ worth of stock on their premises at all times.
The last 12 months has also seen AT Precision expand its product range – in addition to the Everglide range of bi-fold hardware which includes door rollers, top guides, pull handles, cleats and shootbolt handles, it also offers the Everseal range of high-quality gaskets.
Both ranges are compatible with all major systems and are manufactured in-house. According to AT Precision, this ensures a lower cost that can be passed onto aluminium fabricators, potentially saving them thousands of pounds a year.
2021 also saw the company further expand its product portfolio with a range of plastic ancillaries, including injection-moulded cill end caps and adapter caps, available in black and anthracite grey.
In addition, the company also recently invested £60k in a new high-quality range of espagnolette window handles designed to offer a modern look coupled with excellent quality and security.
Michael concluded: “We’ve enjoyed considerable growth in the past 12 months, and while favourable market conditions have of course played a role in that, our success would not have been possible without the ongoing investment in our products and services.
“It’s set to be another successful year for AT Precision, and with our high-quality ranges, we’re well equipped for even further growth in 2022.”
