New area sales manager

Ian Duckworth has joined Thermoseal Group as its Midlands area sales manager covering the Midlands, Wales and south east.

Ian started his career within the glass industry in 1988 working in an insulated glass (IG) manufacturing role. He then moved into a sales role and has spent 20 years selling IG consumables, mainly decorative products to date.

“I’m delighted to join the Thermoseal Group team as I have watched the significant development of the group over the past 10-15 years as it has become a market leading warm edge and consumable manufacturer,” Ian said.

“I have known many members of the team for years having met them at events and industry socials where the camaraderie of the group and their relationship across the industry has always been evident.

“Having recently spent some time in south east Asia, I also had the opportunity to work with some of the team to promote Thermobar and Thermoflex Warm Edge Spacers. So, when the opportunity was presented to me following the retirement of a long-standing member of the sales team, I jumped at the chance.”

The group’s sales director Mark Hickox said: “While I’d like to wish our previous sales manager Colin Cook all the best in his retirement, and personally thank him for his years of dedication to our customers, I’m also extremely happy to welcome such a big personality as Ian to the team. I have known Ian for many years and always believed he is a great asset to any team. I know our customers will appreciate his knowledge, experience and overall commitment to the job.”
