Making a difference

A Harehills-based youth charity has thanked Morley Glass and Glazing for its recent donation of glass for a door to complete its new gym facility.

Community Action To Change Harehills (Catch) is a registered charity made up of volunteers who want to make a positive difference in their local area. The charity’s multifunctional community centre named ‘ARK’ in Harehills, Leeds is a collection of former police training modular buildings assembled into a two-storey building, and provides activities for children and young people from all backgrounds.

Now, the charity has been able to complete a new staff gym facility for volunteers at ARK, thanks to a generous donation from Morley Glass and Glazing of a bespoke glass door, completed with the Catch logo and installed by Sutcliffe Windows.

Ian Short, Morley Glass and Glazing, managing director said: “The team at Catch do a great job at empowering young people and the charity is a fantastic example of what is possible when a community comes together to make positive changes. We’re glad to have been able to contribute towards such an important cause and hope the volunteers enjoy using their new gym.”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary year throughout 2018, Morley Glass and Glazing is proud to support a number of important local initiatives. Recent donations by the business have made it possible for Castleford Dance Studio to offer a new dancing scholarship and allowed Moortown Rugby Club to resurface one of its pitches.
