Jumping into new roles

Alutech Systems has appointed two new business development managers, Ben Kelly and Chloe Bullers, and product development manager Dave Duffield.

Ben and Chloe, who are both based in the south of England, will allow Alutech to expand its coverage of the UK and provide better customer service, the company said.

“I have, for many years, worked within the industry of glass and PVC,” Ben said. “In that time, I’ve seen continuous growth within the aluminium fabrication sector.

“When the opportunity arose to work with Alutech, I was keen to join a company that is seeing incredible achievements year-on-year and to also become a member of what is already a positive, keen and hungry company, to deliver a superior product with great service and keen pricing.”

Chloe said: “Coming from a sales background, this industry is very new to me, but I’m sure I’ll take the bull by the horns and thrive doing what I do best: talking.”

Dave Duffield has worked as an engineer in hardware since 2007 and lived in China from 2013 to 2018 where he worked for a manufacturer and supplier to many European hardware companies.

In 2016, he began working with Brisant, developing and manufacturing products for them. In 2018, Dave returned to the UK with his young family and was employed by Brisant to develop all their hardware, such as the Sweet furniture range, to great success.

“What appealed to me most about joining Alutech, was the challenge of jumping into a company with no onsite product design capability,” Dave said.

“I’m looking forward to putting my own stamp on the role. First though, I’ve got a lot to learn about aluminium systems to get up to speed on aluminium profiles, in terms of technical requirements and functionality.”
