Future faces

The Aperture Group has put in place what it calls “a formidable management team” to achieve its growth targets while maintaining customer focus.

“The new team has expertise across all areas of business and provides us with the strong foundation we need to take Aperture and our customers on to the next level,” Matthew Mycock, Aperture Group’s CEO, said.

Robin Baker, previously of Masonite UK, takes up the position of MD, managing the core Aperture business along with Calibre Doors and Norvik New Build.

“I am really pleased to be joining the new Aperture Group and I am particularly excited to be part of the team at this important time, helping to lead the business on a positive future path,” Robin said. “I am also excited to be working with my new team of executive colleagues.”

Steve Halford joins as business development director, who many will know from Crystal Clear Group, Tuffx Conservatory Roof Glass, or Ultraframe.

Heading up HR is Carolyn Reed whose previous roles include global HR director for Tunstall Group and head of leadership and talent at Hastings Direct, while the head of marketing is Helen Tunnicliffe, who many will recognise from Saint-Gobain.

“I am excited about the opportunities in Aperture’s future for us and for our customers,” Helen said.“Matthew has built a strong team with varied experience but all of whom have one common goal: serving the customer. Aperture’s commitment to putting the customer first appealed to me and it’s a focus that truly spans every aspect of the company.”

Daniel Cox is procurement manager, and Elliott Dawson is the commercial manager responsible for the social housing and contracting sector.

“I’ve worked in the window and door sector in sales and management positions for some years and consider myself to have a 360 approach to business,” Elliott said. “I look forward to applying this approach to the Aperture Group to generate real results for the company and our customers.”

Matthew said: “I am confident that with this new team now fully embedded, we are on track to be a robust contender in the window, door and conservatory markets and in the new build, home improvement and export markets.”
