Charity unveiled

Pennine Home Improvements has unveiled Children North East as its charity of choice for 2020; which will receive all proceeds from its tuck shop and other charity endeavours over the next 12 months.

Previously, Pennine raised just under £2,000 for North of England Children’s Cancer Research across three years.

Jonathan Young, managing director at Pennine Home Improvements, said: “We have seen tremendous success with our charitable undertakings in recent years and we’re thrilled to be able to help Children North East wherever possible throughout 2020. It is a cause that I know so many of us here hold dearly to our hearts, so to have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people in our area was something we couldn’t turn down. We look forward to a successful and fruitful partnership.”

Carol Taylor, senior fundraiser at Children North East, said: “It’s fantastic that Pennine have chosen Children North East as its Charity of the Year.  Working across the north east, our services work with babies, children, young people and families when times are hard so any donations we receive really do make life changing differences.”
