Knockout charity effort

Tradeglaze (Lincoln) joined Eastenders actors Shane Richie and Adam Woodyatt to present a £10,000 cheque from Camper UK, the UK’s premier motorhome dealer, to the United Lincolnshire Hospital Charity, which supports local NHS staff.

The funds were raised at this year’s Camperfest ’21, an event organised by Camper UK in August.

Tradeglaze took part as the event’s Gold Sponsor and helped raise funds with several activities including competing in the event’s ‘We’re a Knockout’ inflatable challenges. Disciplines included running over inflatable slides, group jumping in sacks, diving through foam and building an inflatable cannon, to name just a few of the tricky tasks the teams had to tackle.

The event was headlined by Shane Richie and his Band, and included a flypast by the RAF’s Red Arrows and live performances by several Lincolnshire bands. Tradeglaze employees and their families cheered on the ‘Tradeglaze Tigers’.

The funds will be used to buy a new ECG machine for the Lincoln County Hospital’s paediatric ward. Some of the funds will also go towards a new garden project, which will create new green spaces for patients and visitors to enjoy.

Jeremy Wetherall, managing director at Tradeglaze (Lincoln), said: “The NHS has helped so many people during this very challenging pandemic and we could not be more pleased that we could play our part and help raise monies for this worthy cause.”
