Celebration after the challenges

Yale is sponsoring the Glass Times Race Day on July 1, 2021.

Taking place at Haydock Park, the Glass Times Race Day has always been one of the most popular events in the social calendar, and after a year of cancellations it looks set to be the first big event for the door and window industry following the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

“When this opportunity was presented to us, we had no hesitation in accepting,” Paul Atkinson, managing director at Yale, said. “After the challenges of the last year, the Race Day will provide a much-needed opportunity to finally come together again to catch up with colleagues, meet with customers, network and just enjoy the day. We can’t wait to see our industry friends there and perhaps place a few bets.”

Andy Westhead, publisher at Glass Times, said: “We are delighted that Yale are joining us at Haydock on July 1, for what will probably be the industry’s first day out since the pandemic lockdown restrictions were lifted.

“The Race Day has always been about celebration. There are no long drawn-out speeches, and the day is all about getting together with industry friends and colleagues for a drink and hopefully picking a few winners throughout the day. And this year I think we all need that more than ever.”

Yale will be supporting the event through a sponsorship deal that sees the company’s name attached to one of the races, along with advertising on the race card and around the home stretch, and hosting a table where they will have the opportunity to showcase new products and network with customers.
