£15K Covid security investment

Victorian Sliders has invested over £15K in a high-tech Covid-19 prevention system, which passed with flying colours after a recent safety check by the local authority.

The system includes heat sensor cameras, facial recognition cameras, and a QR scanner questionnaire.

As a result, the company operated as normal during the second national lockdown, and continued to deliver sash windows across the UK.

Group managing director Andy Jones said: “Companies that sit within the construction and manufacturing industries have been given the green light by the government to trade as normal, as long as it’s in a Covid secure manner. So, for us, it’s very much business as usual.

“Ultimately, the safety of our staff, customers, suppliers and partners is our number one priority, and we have invested heavily in this area to ensure we protect everyone while continuing to offer the same level of quality and service that our customers have come to expect.”

For anyone who visits the Victorian Sliders HQ, the Covid secure measures are easy to spot. The firm has set up a large marquee outside the factory where all employees and visitors must undergo several checks before they are allowed into the main building. This includes an automated temperature check, facial recognition for all employees, and a comprehensive Covid-19 questionnaire for everyone. Anyone who fails to meet the required criteria are instructed not to come into work and to seek assistance from the company’s HR department. The same temperature check is also repeated at the end of the day.

“This latest lockdown presents us with a new challenge, but here at Victorian Sliders, we are doing everything in our power to meet the strong market demand and support our customers with their sash window projects,” Andy said.
