Whiteline and Window Wise are top of the class

Whiteline and installer partner Window Wise (Sussex) have worked together to deliver a glazing solution for private preparatory school Cumnor House in Sussex, which has developed a new, £3 million Stem (science, technology, engineering and maths) building.

The school’s strong environmental principles are reflected in the incorporation of sustainable technology in the structure, including solar PV panels, air source heat pumps, rainwater harvesting and energy efficient glazing.

The Stem block’s glazing scheme maximises natural light and passive ventilation, while its scale and transparency softens the mass of the building.

Faceted sections are important to the building’s design, projecting and complementing the curvilinear form of its striking facade. The installation consists of Whiteline-manufactured Aluk aluminium frames in architectural grey (RAL7016), with 37 flat contemporary sash casement windows and 15 doors sets, all with slim-line aesthetics and fitted by Window Wise.
