‘Strong margins and kerb appeal’

Allan Brothers is promoting its handcrafted Scotdoor range as authentic and sustainable alternative to composite and PVC doors.

The doors come with a 30-year warranty on the timber and a 10-year warranty on the weatherproof stains and paint finishes. They also boast thermal and security performance with U-values of between 1.0W/m²k to 1.2W/m²k and PAS24 accreditation.

There are 16 standard Scotdoor styles available, from traditional to contemporary and, because the doors are all handcrafted, buyers can customise any of these designs by changing the shape or size of any glazed panels or by changing the groove patterns.

They are supplied as complete doorsets, including frame, door, glazing and hardware, and come fully factory finished in any water based RAL colour paint or one of four popular stains.

Allan Brothers’ sales director Wolfgang Gorner said: “Our experience tells us that retail buyers fall into two camps – those who have already decided they want a sustainable timber door for their home and are simply looking for a reputable local supplier, and those who start out thinking they want a PVC or composite door but who switch to the timber alternative once they see the quality and craftsmanship for themselves.”
