Through the roof

A Devon-based Guardian Warm Roof manufacturer has moved to larger premises after three years of growth.

Olympus Roofing’s new 5,000ft2 unit on a secure 14,000ft2 site at Blue Waters Industrial Estate in Bovey Tracey effectively triples the company’s manufacturing capacity.

The business launched three years ago from premises in Newton Abbot. In addition to roofing products, Olympus also provides windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries.

Olympus Roofing currently employs six people. But MD Andrew Nichols – a former K2 Conservatories national sales manager – anticipates that the new premises will be the perfect launch pad for future growth.

He anticipates the creation of four new roles over the next year.

“The relocation to new premises is an important move for the business,” Andrew said. “I started Olympus Roofing three years ago, since then we have enjoyed excellent growth. The time is right to seriously prepare for the future. We will now have more than enough capacity to cope with the forecasted levels of business.”

Guardian’s Joe Kearney said: “The move to new premises is wonderful news for Olympus. And it’s another success story from our national network of manufacturers and installers. Stories like Andrew’s are becoming more commonplace and a huge inspiration to the hundreds of members of Team Guardian.”
