Glass group welcomes new member

National Glass Group (NGG) has expanded its membership with the introduction of Nova Group, based in Cheshire.

IGU manufacturer Nova Group, with a turnover of over £12 million pounds and founded in 1971, takes the membership of NGG to six companies, which now has a collective turnover in excess of £70 million pounds.

All members remain owner-managed independent businesses.

NGG is a group that represents UK glass processors – including existing members Clayton Glass, Custom Glass, Northern Express Glass, Romag, and Supaseal Glass – and has an annual purchasing power exceeding £20 million.

NGG also promotes best practice and shares the value created fairly among members. In time the goal is to build the group so that it represents 25% of flat glass purchases in the UK, through organic growth of the members and with the introduction of new companies to the organisation.

Jeff Hooson, co-director of NGG, said: “Since our inception three years ago, we’ve added considerable value to members and we expect the expansion to continue further in the coming year as we enter the next phase of our strategic development.

“This will be through increased collaboration to bring the broadest product range and geographical reach available in the UK, while equally retaining the identity and benefits of being owner-managed, independent businesses.”
