Consumer spending drives enquiries

Increased consumer spending and the diversification into new products has seen Leads2trade celebrate a record year of lead volumes, the company has reported.

Leads2trade generated 103,424 leads for installers in 2016 – up 11.6% on last year’s figures – for a range of home improvement products and services including double glazing.

In response to the booming conservatory roof replacement market, Leads2trade launched its conservatory roof lead generation service early this year. It proved to be a hit with consumers and its trade customers, and continues to generate thousands of leads per month.

The company also launched its service for the security market.

Leads2trade’s new security service connects installers of CCTV, intruder alarm systems and surveillance equipment with homeowners looking to purchase these services.

Leads2trade launched the service at IFSEC International in June, where it was well received by visiting tradesmen, and has since generated hundreds of leads per month for security products and services.

Andy Royle, managing director of Leads2trade, said: “Our lead volumes are a benchmark for consumer confidence as we can tell if homeowners are willing to spend and what they’re willing to spend on. Right now, we can confidently say this is holding up and, fingers crossed, it will continue.

“We’re currently conducting a survey to give installers and the industry a deeper insight into consumer confidence in the economy, the types of products that are at the top of their wishlist – for example, aluminium or PVCU windows and doors – and their opinions on Brexit.”
