240% increase in sales

Emmegi (UK) has reported a 240% increase in sales over the previous year, providing further evidence of the ongoing boom in machinery investment.

The Coventry-based aluminium machinery specialist has benefited from the moves by some of the industry’s leading PVCU fabricators to diversify into aluminium windows and doors, and has also remained the first choice supplier of many traditional aluminium specialists who have invested in new machines to keep pace with their own expansion.

Managing director Ian Latimer said: “The momentum we’ve built up since last year has been fantastic. We’ve seen sales up right across our range – from simple Itaca Solution crimping machines through to our flagship Quadra 18-axis sawing and machining centres.

“The message is clearly getting through to the market that Emmegi has a machine to suit any size or type of fabricator and that they are all supremely well built, offering unbeatable reliability.

“Unsurprisingly, our best advocates are our existing customers who like our friendly, efficient service just as much as the machines themselves. As a result, we have won a lot of new business through recommendation and, looking ahead, I’m sure that will continue.”

Emmegi has also invested in the resources needed to support its booming sales: service manager Jeff Rooke now leads a team of six engineers and technicians in the UK and two in Ireland who carry out all installation and servicing. A new service engineer has just been appointed, and Emmegi is already planning to recruit three further engineers for the UK and Ireland over the coming months.

One of the biggest success stories for Emmegi this year has been in Ireland where Emmegi has seen sales increase exponentially, with big name customers such as Camden, Duggans and New World Developments all choosing Emmegi machines over the competition.
