Expert advice available

Aluk has been raising its profile ahead of the FIT Show with its ‘Experts in Aluminium’ marketing campaign and, as part of that, is hosting a dedicated Expert Zone on its stand.

Alongside its own team, Aluk has invited key industry players to take part in a series of seminars in the Expert Zone dedicated exclusively to aluminium.

These promise to be a great source of useful information and insights and, with seminars happening throughout all three days of the show, there will be something for everyone.

Experienced fabricators can hear from the CAB about where aluminium is going next in the construction sector, and fabricators who are considering making the jump into aluminium for the first time can learn about pricing, fitting, fabrication and efficiency.

Highlights will include a State of the Market debate at 11.30 on the opening morning of the show where Aluk and industry panelists will discuss the good, the bad and the ugly in aluminium, and advice sessions from the likes of AzkoNobel and BM Trada on powder coating and the implications of Approved Document Q.

Russell Yates, Aluk’s managing director, said that the decision to devote an area of the stand to seminars rather than sales was an easy one. “With the FIT Show really focusing on aluminium this time around, we know that there will be plenty of visitors coming to the show specifically interested in our material,” he said.

“If they’re already fabricating, they’ll want to know what’s coming next and if they’re thinking about getting into this market, then they’ll be looking for help and advice from the experts.

“For us, it’s not just about promoting our own products – although there will be lots of exciting new innovations on display from Aluk – it will also be about educating and supporting existing and potential customers so that they feel better equipped to embrace what are undoubtedly fantastic opportunities for aluminium at the moment.

“We want the market to understand just how much aluminium products are now capable of, particularly when it comes to thermal performance, and to realise there’s never any need to choose an imitation of aluminium when you can have the real thing.

“Part of the reason why we decided to exhibit at the FIT Show in the first place was that, with initiatives like the Aluk-sponsored Master Fitter challenge and sales and business seminars, the organisers themselves are doing so much to give visitors reasons to visit beyond just seeing new products.

“Our seminar programme ties in perfectly with that and is very much in line with our own commitment to encouraging best practice across both fabrication and installation. For anyone who takes a day out of the office or a day off site to come to the show, the Expert Zone will definitely help them justify the time they have invested.”

Visitors can view the full seminar schedule via www.fitshow.co.uk/aluk-seminar and either book a space in advance or just turn up on the day. The Aluk Experts in Aluminium will be manning the zone throughout the show and inviting visitors to really put them to the test on any aspect of manufacturing or installing in aluminium.

Alongside the Expert Zone, Aluk’s stand will include innovations in colour, security and thermal performance. Four exciting new products will be revealed, including a brand new bifold door and sliding doors with slim sightlines.
