Biggest range on show

Emmegi (UK) has been at every FIT Show so far, and its stands keep getting bigger. That’s primarily because every show has generated a real return for the aluminium machinery specialist, but is also a reflection of its ongoing success and growing status in the market.

Managing director Ian Latimer said: “Our stand is a massive 220m² this time around, and is sited right at the entrance to hall 7 which I think makes quite a statement about how far we’ve come in recent years.

“What it means for visitors is that we’ve got space for more machines than ever before and we’ve got a much broader offering on show this year, with everything from single head saws to advanced machining centres.”

With so many of this year’s FIT Show visitors expected to have a specific interest in aluminium, Emmegi has designed its stand to demonstrate that it has something for everyone. The range starts with extendable working tables, routers, end millers and crimpers and extends right up to five-axis machine centres and beyond. What Ian and his team want fabricators to take away from the stand is that they don’t need to be spending tens of thousands of pounds to be able to access Emmegi’s precision, performance and durability.

In machining centres alone, Emmegi is exhibiting both its space-saving Nanomatic semi-automatic copy router for start-ups and its Phantomatic M3 (3 +1) for fabricators looking to move into bifold doors. And, at the other end of the market, it is featuring its soundproofed, high performance, high volume Comet T6HP four-axis model, with a 7.7m work area.

In saws, there is both a 6m Classic Star saw and a twin-head Precision TS2 cutting centre, so that potential buyers can see both mid and higher end options.

All of the machines will be in action at the show, with demonstrations taking place throughout. The expert Emmegi (UK) team will be advising on all the features and benefits and showing how the company has the right machine for every application.

“For us, the FIT Show has always been a place where people want to do business and we’ve had customers place orders every time,” Ian said. “Last year, we sold more than £500,000 of saws and machining centres directly from our stand, which was particularly impressive.

“Fabricators who have been looking at investing for some time very often come to our stand to see a specific machine in operation and place their order based on what they see. It also of course means that they beat the rush of people who enquire at the show and place orders in the weeks that follow.”

This time around, Emmegi is running a promotion on its stand which means that anyone placing an order for the Itaca Solution crimping machine at the FIT Show will also receive a free TKE259 sealant applicator worth £3,000.

The pneumatic TKE259 seals joints and improves the thermal, acoustic and weather protection barrier on aluminium windows and doors. It automatically optimises the amount of sealant required on each surface and so eliminates wastage and minimises messy overspill.

As well as the machinery range, there will be a dedicated area of the stand for visitors to get their first glimpse in the UK of View (powered by Voilap), the next generation software platform which allows users to present, configure and sell their window, door and curtain walling products in a whole new way.

There will also, of course, be plenty of space for customers to sit down and discuss deals and to relax and enjoy the company’s now legendary Italian hospitality.
