Open company

Glass Times editor Nathan Bushell writes his comment from Liniar’s open day.

Liniar’s new warehouse, showroom (for both machinery and finished product), and training centre stands as a beacon of success in today’s uncertain market.

The massive 178,000ft2 building was opened today by Lord Digby Jones, who said it was a “privilege to share in the success” of Liniar.

For CEO Roger Hartshorn, “Liniar House will take customer relations to a new level”.

More than 150 invited guests attended the event, and were shown around the warehouse, which holds some £7 million in stock – reflecting both the diversity and demand for products.

A timeline runs around the wall of the showroom, which shows how HL Plastics has grown during the last 40 years, regardless of the economic pressures felt at the time.
There was confidence in the room that Liniar would continue this trend over the next 40 years.
